The Laramie Project

888 Morro Street
San Luis Obispo, CA

Tickets: $20.00

The San Luis Obispo Little Theater will be presenting "The Laramie Project" this season and they have graciously donated one evening as a benefit performance for the AIDS Support Network.

Writer Moises Kaufman and members of the Tectonic Theatre Project have crafted a play around the shocking murder of Matthew Shepard. A young gay man living in Laramie, Wyoming, Mathew was kidnapped, beaten and left to die. The writers faithfully recorded the trial and more than 200 interviews with townspeople, creating a breathtaking theatrical collage that explores the depths to which humanity can sink and the heights of compassion of which we are capable.

New York Magazine is quoted as saying: "There emerges a mosaic as moving and important as any you will see on the walls of the churches of the world...Nothing short of stunning."
